Cooking Directions:
The first step to this delicious turkey meatloaf recipe, is to preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Next up take out a cooking skillet, heat a burner to medium, and cook the onions and minced garlic in the extra virgin olive oil. Stir the skillets contents often as to prevent burning, and watch for the onions to soften. This should take about 2 minutes or so. Ok, now that the onions and garlic are done, add in the diced carrots, and again cook them for about 2 to 3 minutes, or until the carrots begin to soften. Once you are done, you may now add in the fresh trimmed and chopped Cremini mushrooms, the salt, and fresh ground black pepper. Cook these additional ingredients until the mushrooms are nice and tender, which should take about 10 minutes. Next up, pour in the French'S® Worcestershire sauce, the green parsley, about 4 tablespoons of Heinz Ketchup, and stir everything together until the ingredients are evenly distributed. Once done turn off the burner and transfer the vegetables to a large bowl, and then let it cool down. Ok, now with a small mixing bowl, add in your seasoned croutons and 2% milk, and let it stand for about 8 minutes. Next stir in your egg and egg white, make sure it's well blended, then add it to the cooling veggies. Now finally add in the lean fat free turkey, a pinch more salt, a pinch more pepper, and using your clean bare hands, begin the manual mixing process. Your end goal here is to have a firm meatloaf, with evenly distributed ingredients. Once you are done here, add the loaf to a well greased baking pan, and layer on the remaining Heinz ketchup. Now bake the meatloaf at 180 degrees Fahrenheit for one full hour. Bake in a toothpick, and once you can pull it out clean from the loaf, you know it is done. Let the loaf cool for about 5 minutes on the kitchen counter before serving. Serve with mashed potatoes, or brown rice, and some nice dinner wine.
