Ok folks, meatloaf doesn't get any more gourmet than this does. To begin this wonderful and delicious gourmet meatloaf recipe, you will want to preheat your oven to roughly 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or converted about 175 degrees Celsius. Now take out that favorite mixing bowl you have hidden away in your kitchen cabinet, and let us begin this recipe. Add into the bowl the lean ground beef flank, the Old London toastettes gourmet round croutons, the Bestfoods Knorr french onion soup mix, one beaten egg, Ruby’s whiskey pepper steak sauce, minced garlic, and the salt and pepper. Now hopefully you are wearing a short sleeve shirt, because you will want to clean your hands, and manually mix the contents in the bowl. It's a little cold to mix and mash up everything, but it's the best way to get all of those delicious ingredients evenly spread out through the meat. Once done there, form a nice oval beef loaf, kinda like a log on the fire shape. Next take out a large enough baking pan, and grease it or spray it with an antistick baking greaser. Once done, place your meatloaf into the pan, and bake it for one full hour. While your meatloaf is cooking away, take out a large skillet. Place the skillet on the stove, and set a temperature to medium. Add into the skillet the sweet onion, the green bell pepper, the chopped cilantro, the chopped broccoli, and some extra virgin olive oil. Saute everything until the veggies are soft and tender. Now after the meatloaf has cooked for an hour, take it out and drizzle the veggies over the top of it, then on top of those layer on the cheese and ham. Once done place it back into the oven to cook for another 20 minutes. Be careful not to burn the cheese. The aim of that last step is to lock those nice veggies between the meatloaf, and the cheese and ham. You can serve the meatloaf hot, though let it cool for 5 to 8 minutes so you can slice it without it crumbling apart. Serve it with a side of macaroni and cheese, and some tasty sliced McIlhenny Farms Hot'n Sweet Pickles. For a great matching beverage, do try Dow's Fine Ruby Port Wine, it compliments the meal wonderfully, and is highly recommended.
